Wow. Seriously jealous. I want a touring so bad... that's a nice looking ride!
Mind if I ask how much you handed over for it?
But yes, really really nice!
I posted this in R3vlimited forums as well, but thought i would share here
Was lucky enough to stumble onto this Touring for sale in SYdney. Had to fly interstate going on the sellers word that it was as good as it looked in the carsales ad. Turned out to be better than expected and i happily handed over the cash and drove it back to Melbourne on a Temp rego permit. Everything worked out though and the car got me back to Melbourne without any drama's. The car still hasn't finished with compliance or registration so currently driving it on temp rego permits with the UK plates on still lol
Has genuine Alpina wheels, Genuine M-tech 2 body kit, Manual gearbox, Electric sunroof and electric mirrors, BMW sports seats etc etc Not sure on the suspenison yet though, but seems to be a bit lower than stock.
Only bad points that I have noticed so far is the crazy heavy gas pedal (compared to the 318is anyway) and the turn signals are a bit suss, only work half the time...... Oh and it seems my brake pad wear light is on...
To be honest I don't really know much about the Tourings or even the 325 e30 range :/ I have driven a 318is for the last two years and loved it but never had the opportunity to drive or own a 325 until now.
Also came with some 'Scorpion' axle back, have never heard about the brand but it sounds decent and looks decent enough.
I have also bought these wheels to go on it, getting them posted over from Poland  should be here soonish i hope:
Specs: 15x8 +12 and 15x9 +3
I will be swapping in the coil-overs from the 318is into the touring as well(assuming they will fit) This is how my 318 currently sits for anyone interested:
I do plan on changing out all the old coolant hoses etc with some silicone replacements as well as the vacuum lines. Might think about changing out the radiator as well to be honest. Also definately going to change out the shiter... OEM is far to sloppy for my taste, looking at the UUC EVO3 kit at the moment from Turner:

Anyway, like I said, i don't know a whole lot about the 325i and what options there are for modifications or what i need to look out for in regards to maintenance etc so any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks guys, any feedback is more than welcome

Well done - i think several of us were eying that one off on carsales.
Hopefully you negotiated the seller down a bit - but even if not, you have yourself a seriously unique car in Australia.
Wow.
Well to be honest, I couldn't negotiate him down at all. Pretty fixed on price. But I think it was well worth itabsolutely stoked with the purchase. It was a bit pricey for any sort of e30 but is worth it for the uniqueness alone. Couldn't ask for it to be in any better condition for it's age, interior and paint are like knew + all the extra's it had with it + it was a manual etc etc
From what I understand, it was up on carsales for a month or two but I only stumbled onto it last weekend. Called him the next day and drove it home over the weekend lol Wasn't really in the market for another car just yet but saw this and couldn't say no.
He was also selling the brown Touring that was on carsales. He had a dude from Brisbane (i think) coming to check that out the same day i bought this white one.
Definitely - the uniqueness + the extras make your touring pretty desirable - if you had to find a stock touring (or even a 325i sedan for that matter) and then collect all those parts it would very quickly add up to the asking price in any case.
Hopefully someone else on the forum grabbed the other touring
I'd love a touring too actually - I have been keeping an eye on e46 prices, but the tourings seem to be holding their value remarkably well.
Well done and welcome to the e30 touring club.
There are about 15 tourings in Oz I know of, so we are in pretty rare territory.

That's one awesome car! Congratulations!
Nice.should be special. Lucky u didn't get done as nsw dont validate the temp rego.
Nevermind
Anyways u should look at a club Permit here in Vic.
$140 for 90 days use in 12mths. No restrictions other than log book needs to fil out. U don't have to have aust compliance or pay stamp duty etc + insurance is cheaper.
U have to be a member of car club bmwccv which costs like $80 per year.
This is a good solution if u wanna drive the car around to eventually get full aust compliance with a view to gain full aust compliance if u want it to be with full rego status. But unless it's a daily driver why would u bother.

I have seen both of your cars parked at Crown multi-story!![]()
Hey mate, thanksyeh wouldn't have thought there would have been too many around here in AUS.
Club permit would be great, wouldn't have to worry too much about getting pulled over and defected all time. But I would like to be able to drive it more than 90 days in a year, was considering using it as the new daily and give the coupe to my GF eventually. But yes, still unsure yet. I really need to look into the club rego situation more. What if I drove it for an hour or two on a day, does that count as 1 day of driving? Also, I am pretty sure the car has to be 25 years or older, this is an 88 making it 24 years old
But to be honest, the car has already made compliance for Australian roads (side intrusion bars, cat converter change etc) just needs to pass sound test and that's it (at least that's what the compliance place in Sydney told me) then it is ready for full registration. The compliance pace in Sydney has a 'sister' shop in Melbourne that is going to finish it off for me, so hopefully shouldn't be any problems.
In regards to the drive home, I did get the blue slip + import approval papers from the compliance place in Sydney. I also went to the RTA in NSW and got a temp permit (window sticker included) to drive from place of pick-up in Sydney back to Melbourne, so the drive home was legit. I made sure I had all the paperwork sorted befor I left Sydney.
haha stalker
I work there as a sparky, am there every freaking day.......... -_- lol actually on Monday there was a very clean 318is parked across from my wagon, was that you by any chance?
