For a second I thought you had another merc that you wanted to put that front bar on but then I realised you were talking about the one in your sig.
Your car has a classic old school look. Don't ruin it by trying to modernise it with a front bar that doesn't flow with the lines of your car. Keep your car factory and restore it, then dump it on some nice wheels.
I've been thinking of making it a track car.
By the way, AMG hammer rims will be going on.
