There are some 'claims' that need to be substantiated - "Daniel Noble tells me that there was one fellow who, after losing his job, rented out both his cars and turned a $1,500 profit every month."

Also the only i30 available is actually ovder $50 per day http://www.drivemycarrentals.com.au/...ng_confirm.asp

Thanks Nath. It was a hella rainy weekend and I was a big fan of the petrol i30 when I drove it years ago, so I wanted to see what the diesel was like to live with. I've driven Boxsters before and with no chance of putting the top down for the weekend, I didn't see the point.

Holy f-ck! I'd better get my facts straight before I submit my X&Y Magazine article for its Pulitzer Prize! Derpa hurrr!

I'm not writing a hard news article mate. That's how much the i30 cost to rent at the time of writing, and I'm quoting the MD of the business from an interview. If you rent out two cars at $200 per week that equals $1600, so it's more than plausible.
I drive too fast to worry about cholesterol.

It was more his profit every month....some people might get into this scheme and actually quote him and expect it....it would be interesting to see if this takes off long term. The business case has merit similar to that rent a car thing you see in the city with Honda Jazz, Smart cars etc....just more vareity

No. It'll cost me more than that just to get the smell of them out of my car.
And the love stains out of the leather.

Perhaps not the cars, but I'd give throwing the caravan on there some thought. That sits around gathering dust a fair bit.
Probably more of a candidate of
    the love stains
    unfortunately...
