I think those are only the qualifying sessions - there was more to come later in the day...I heard from Tom B that I was in the 1:54.xxx later in the day. Will have to wait 'til they post full results. I think with Glenn and I tag teaming the car I may have chewed up set of tyres - rears might be OK but the RF is shagged - curiously it has a deep shallow groove down the centre of the tyre. Have taken pics but the camera isn't uploading.

What pressures are you running hot Simon, Funny Groove's point to wrong pressures and or camber/caster/toe

I'm pretty stoked with my time though, remembering I'm on old Khumo KU36's Not even proper R-specs 100whp for added lul factor

Here's my videos from session 3

Around 1:53.5 should be a good aiming point = http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/re.../2009.ARDC.R15

And 33-34 is too high for hot pressure. I aim for a maximum of 30-31 hot, anymore and you kill the tyre.

Starting pressures were 25 all round, and they ended up at 33-34psi reasonably consistent around the car.

33-34 Is ok, I used to run with 35psi hot. It also depends what tyres you are running. Now that i'm on dunlops, they seem to like 32-33 but the bridgestone re55 liked the pressures higher.

I was at the Creek on Sunday and got a pb of 1.49.26

No, 33-34 is NOT ok with the Yokohama A048 tyre. The AO32R used to like higher pressures like that (35-37), but the current IPRA/E30 control tyre (AO48) in the 205/50R15 size DOES NOT respond well with pressures higher than 31-32 psi. Each tyre is different, due to construction, tread compound, tread design, sidewall stiffness etc...

And I'd certainly hope you could knock out a time under 1:50 with that MASSIVE engine of yours!
