    Americans are Weird

There's a thread on M3forum about painting high beam lenses black. Why? Because it looks better FFS...

Yeah. Spend a day or two in the bimmerforums "rides and styling" section and you will learn pretty quickly how to make your car look good but 100% unsafe.

But wait, there's more. Just happened across a thread in the M3 forum of E46fanatics (yeah I know) on putting washers between the flanges of the exhaust joints to make it sound 'more agressive'. Like I said, americans are weird...

Americans dont have enough regulations on what they can do to their cars. Hence they do pretty much whatever they like. Resulting in all sorts of weirdness.

I frequent M5board and I agree with the unsafe comment, especially wrt to load ratings and OD on tyres,eg. E60 M5 front tyre needs a minimum load rating of 96 but there are dudes on there running 235/30-20's rated at 88 !! and undersized 275/30-20 rears (97) for that "stretched look" WTF ?

    Crazy muthas.

The 'stretched look' debate on M5 board is a debacle- they've all lost their minds (the stretched lot, that is).

I tinted my headlights on my black e30, yes it looked shit hot and yes it made the lights shit terrible. Highly recommended for a car that never gets driven at night. Or in a tunnel. Or in the rain. Or in Winter. Or near a police station.

When I was in the XR club one guy painted his whole headlamps purple (like the car) because he reconed the foglights were good enough for forward lighting. All the chrome trim , the rims and the exhaust tips were gold. Total Fu%^kwit.

with the e30 you can run a hella style set up which what hinder your light output
Drag racing an e30 is like playing poker with a hooker. It's fun but it's not what you bought it for.

Class thread and cmments all. And I thought I was the only mad one in the world thinking tinted lenses and black relfectors might be just a little flawed! Some say the reflectors don't 'do much' in the proejctor lamps (?). However they do do a little something (ie what tests do the illumitation professors on such forums carry out exactly)!

Anywayzzz, wha do u mofos think of not painting, but anodizing the reflectaz body colarr? Wouldn't that be reeeeal awesum and stealth wey to get da same rezult?

Some stupidly crazy things happen in the usa, but equally as nuts are the brits and their mk1's.

Actually, it happens the world over... there are POVs everywhere...
