    German Car Day 2010

Its still a few months away atm, but first question, Is it on?
Its listed in the regional events brochure as the 25th of July, which is the same weekend as last year.
Yet the Merc Car Club hasnt released any info yet...

Its a great day, and would be disappointing if it was not on...

I've not heard anything but I haven't really been listening out for it either. Anyone else got any news on it?

Yep it's on the 25th of July this year. It's traditionally on the last Sunday in July. Would personally much prefer to see it shifted to a time of the year when there's less of a chance of rain pissing down like in some of the last few years, but I doubt that's likely to happen.

Still, crap weather aside it's always a fun day out and I'll certainly be there - I'll just have to decide which car to take this year!

Gah, not going to be able to make the 25th, balls I say. I know they used to try and run it on the same day as the German GP but surely they've decided that's a rubbish idea by now

Well unfortunately I'll be missing BCD this year, so we won't bump into each other.
Oh, that reminds me - I've got Adam's old beige E28 fitted floor mats sitting around (I was using them for a while in my 635) if you fancy them to go with Adam's old interior that you've got Stu? They're free to a good home if you want them....

Sorry Stu only just jumped back in here. I'll keep them aside for you. I'm generally floating around on weekends, but if you're off work on Friday the 21st I'll be up at Wanneroo checking out some BMWs flying around the track I can take them with me and catch up at the same time? Either way I'll hang onto them until we find a time to catch up.

There's no info on the Merc clubs page yet but USUALLY they all meet on the morning of the event at parliament place in west perth and drive out to Northam, some go straight there, some go for the more adventurous route for a bit of fun. All meet up there cars go on display with their associated clubs/marques. If you do a search on here for german car day you'll find a few threads with pics from the previous years. there's usually a good turnout for a winter event

Yep correct, and there's a $10 entry fee too. My previous post seems to have been deleted...
