Maybe try going 225/45-16 on the 16x7s (they look good and are not over tyred) and 245/45-16 on the 16x8s.
From memory one of the yokos comes in the 225 and 245 combo mentioned above and also Toyo proxes
Hi,
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb noob question but I've never been in a position where it's really been likely I'd end up with staggered alloys so I'm a little confused.
Since the demise of the '02 I'm looking to get an E30. I've also got the chance to get a set of 16x7 front and 16x8 rear genuine E30 Alpina alloys thru a friend of a friend of a friend etc. Now, I've always used 4 of the same tyres all round but how does it work with 7s and the front and 8 at the rear? From my searching it seems the std Alpina sizes are 205/50R16 at the front and 225/45R16 for the rears, does that mean I can/should/will have to run two different manufactures tyres front and rear as I can't seem to find any who do both sizes in the same tyre.
Does anyone have suggestions about what the best performance tyres to fit the bill?
Many thanks.
Cool, that's another avenue I can check out. Quick question the 225/45s, will they affect the handling at all? I've read some people have had adverse handing after fitting these up front.
I guess this combo also makes sense as the 205/50s have a index of only 87 and the 325 is 90 right?
45's are great IMO, the perfect match of comfort and low profile, i had them on my 17's and when the VT cops 17's next tire time, it'll also get 45's.
Gooooone
