Thats just crazy. I know I like my cars, and would spend money to keep them nice but c'mon - its only a car!

What is he going to do after he finishes - lock it in a vaccum box?

You can respray it that colour as many times as you want, but it's still going to look old and faded!

I don't get why you would do that with a E36. It's not like they're rare or valuable or breathtakingly beautiful. What was wrong with that example in the first place?

What do ya mean not beautiful... Pfft...

Why do it? Cause you can?? No different doing that then doing the same thing to a VC Commodore, or a 73 Beetle....

Your just jealous cause you can't do it

Ah, If I wanted to restore a car, I'd do it on a car that isn't easily avaliable in good condition nor one that's worth about the same as a new Toyota Corolla.

Or if I wanted a M3, I'd just buy one that was already in good condition and save a fortune.

I do like the look of the E36, but it's not a beautiful car and it fails as a coupe (where is the low sloping roof and blended rear window?).

Don't know what the guys motivation is for doing it, but props to him anyway. If you love a car that much, why not do what he's doing? He's obviously in a position where he can, so props to him.

What a project! I think that car will be better than new when he's finished with it. Amazingly detailed job!
Yeah, I had the pop up too which followed you as you scroll. I shut down the web page and clicked on the link again and it didn't come back the second time
