So, the 20th is almost on us ~ anyone else coming along to Sandown aside from John, Burkey and myself? 8:30AM driver briefing so probably best to get there at a little after 8:00, grab your pit and look out for the BMW brigade!

Just the usual stuff mate. Racer's tape, oil, distilled water, window cleaner, tyre pressure gauge, foot pump, rags...I can bring a full set of socket/ring/open spanners if needed though.

nah it's cool, i'll bring a socket set and a few other sundry items, i was more thinking like a proper jack... but its probably unnecessary... if we need that its probably home time anyway right....

hopefully will have my wheels re-assembled this week... get the car moving again

See you there tomorrow mate, i'll be there in the old purple M5, look forward to meeting you. Kev keeps dropping hints that there is going to be some insanely fast car there tomorrow, but he wont say what it is. As long as it stays out of my way! lol.

    Ade, you still in mate?

Still in, John, still in. I'm hoping to get there at around 8:00.

Have a slight issue at the moment with the car ~ but I reckon I can figure it out in the morning.

EDIT: insanely fast cars? I'm going into the slow group then (they better have one!), otherwise I'll spend all my time with a hand out the window waving people past.

I put coilovers into my car late last year, with 550lb springs in the rear and 450 lb springs in the rear, but it was really unpleasent to drive on the street, just way too stiff. So I bought some new springs, 500 up front, and 400 in the rear. I've had the rears fitted, but didn't get time to do the fronts, and I'm worried that it's going to understeer way too much now. However, we also managed to fit a whiteline adjustable sway bay to the rear, and it's set to full stiff, so hopefully that's enough to balance it out. It's much better to drive on the road now anyway.

well the DD was a great day!
Nice to meet john and ade, good to test out the car after so long on stands...

For those that were there and heard of my steering / headers interference well that was because BOTH my motor mounts were broken....

So yes.... that would be why

Have changed out trans and motor mounts this afternoon to solid AKG ones. Sure is solid... a LOT of vibration. I dont mind it...
We'll see how they go at Haunted Hills next weekend!

    Ade, looking for that video!!
