    Went to a track day at sandown today in the E34, and made the stupid mistake of selecting second gear while looking for fourth, over-revved the engine and through a rod through the side of the block. I now have a nice assortment of squashed and twisted engine bits sitting on my desk as a souvenir. So I won't be doing any track days for a while now

    oh dude! ..... ouch. I feel for ya. Just think how much better you can rebuild the motor now.... (I think I hear Andrew at SBM ordering the hot tub now )

    So glad I was mucking about with power steering today!

    **** me. I hear your pain. Even thou everyone says build it better etc doesn't stop he pain of lunching a perfectly good engine. R u gunna rebuild it or source another engine 2nd hand ? Perhaps if you get devilish thoghts there was an s85b50 floating around in Canada for about 8k can$
