Went to a track day at sandown today in the E34, and made the stupid mistake of selecting second gear while looking for fourth, over-revved the engine and through a rod through the side of the block. I now have a nice assortment of squashed and twisted engine bits sitting on my desk as a souvenir. So I won't be doing any track days for a while now

**** me. I hear your pain. Even thou everyone says build it better etc doesn't stop he pain of lunching a perfectly good engine. R u gunna rebuild it or source another engine 2nd hand ?
