looks awesome John. car stands out nicely from all the imports
I attended a "Drifting for Beginners" course held by Driver Dynamics at Sandown last Saturday. It was an absolutely awesome day, I had so much fun. In fact, it was awesomely awesome.
They had a photographer there, and he send me all the photos that he took of my car on the day, cost me $40 for 180 photos, and they are all fantastic.
All photos by Jarrod Moore Photography:
I put heaps more photos, including some really good sequences, up on my website

Awesome indeed, John. It looks as if it was a great "bang for buck" day ~ and the photos are well priced, too.
Saw your vids on Youtube ~ looked like real fun. I'd love to have a crack at learning a bit about this aspect of car control. Maybe next time....

Driver Dynamics have announced that they'll be doing another drift day on 6th September. They are not taking bookings for this yet, but keep an eye on their website, or alternately add them as a friend on facebook, to find out when they will start accepting bookings. They are working on getting time at Sandown to do another course before then as well, but nothing is confirmed.
It would be good to get some more Euro representation there, my and my friend in the 135i were the only BMW's in a sea of Skylines and Sylvias
Driver Dynamics have now announced another drift day, just 4 weeks away on the 7th of March. I'm booked in, anyone else interested? It would be great to get a few more Euro's along to break up the sea of skylines.
This day will fill up fast, so if you are interested in going, call Driver Dynamics and book in quickly!
I'll post pics of the day in any case
very nice
Driver Dynamics held their 3rd Drifting for Beginners day yesterday, and so I went along, for the 3rd time![]()
Took the E39 M5 with me, this was the first time i'd had a chance to give it a caning, and I loved it, was great fun, it's such an easy car to slide.
Couple of videos:
Me drifting through turn 1:
Same as above, but from the camera inside the car
Was a fantastic day again. They don't plan on doing any more unfortunately, but hopefully they change their mind.
The E39 sounds magnificent, John.
sweet to see the beast go sideways, great fun, love it
oh man, looks like you're having tonnes of fun!
I really want to get out there with my 180 once things are done
