    E.C.C.A Rules and guidelines

    People,

Just a friendly reminder of what is required on the eurocca.net. We dont wont this place to turn into some form of off topic forum. There are plenty of them out there if thats you bag baby.

We encourage vigorous debate, but it must always be kept civil. Flaming is specifically banned, and that applies in PMs as well as the more public forums. General behaviour on the forums is getting a bit 'loose'. Personal comments are getting a bit stupid, and this will be applying to everyone, staff included. All the "blah blah user is gay" "etc user is a kent" etc is going to be culled. The odd one might slip through, but a full page of insults (regardless if you're friends with the user or not) wont be tolerated. This applies to swearing and its spelling variations. Don't be rude and respect others opinions as you would expect them to respect your own no matter how different they may be!

finally, and this is the last time it needs to be mentioned.....

Do not start a 'which car is better war' in a post just to satisfy the inner ego. If you drive a BMW, don't think they are the greatest car god ever shoveled an engine into. Peugeot drivers, Alfa drivers and even Porsche drivers think the same. You drive what you like for the reason, you like it. Respect other peoples opinions on their own driving choice.
    Cheers
    Dave

The admin team has devised a new warning system which we feel is fair, while at the same time reinforces the ECCA values. Obviously the ideal scenario would be that we don't need to enforce these rules, but from time to time these rules do get broken.

Some members have already started going through this process - if in doubt feel free to contact an admin, but be aware that admin decisions are final.

    1st warning (instant)
    2 day ban (instant)
    2nd warning (instant)
    1 week ban (instant)
1 month ban (after discussions and approval from mod team - 24 hour turnaround)
permanent ban (after discussions and approval from mod team - 24 hour turnaround)

I don't want to be "shitstirring" but what are the values of ECCA?

I'm happy for mods to delete this and answer this question VIA PM?

    Joel,

We dont wont this forum to become an Off Topic, random crap posting festival if you know what I mean. There are other forums available for that. Basically we would like to see this forum concentrate on what we obviously all enjoy.....Euro Cars. Off topic posts are allowed in the 'Off Topic' section but even this, isnt for people to post randon crap. 'Off Topic' to me is something not car related. Thoughts?

We are in the midst of completing what we think the forum is all about and this will be added to the FAQ section soon.

No need to PM the answer, hence the reason I left this thread open.

Joel, in addition to Dave's response, we are all seeking to become a more mature club (we are talking attitudes here, not physical age), and one in which all members respect each other.

Although there may not be a hard and fast "These are the values of ECCA" thread or section, I always thought it was common sense?
