Injector size, depends on you ultimate goals... a 'cheap' upgrade would be 2jz 440's with a rising rate regulator... I used this on the soarer, but was at 98% duty and melted a piston one cold night due to running out of fuel....

I'd suggest, 550's at a minimum or 650's as a preference... SARD and BLITS make them, though you can use 550cc US 2jz injectors along with a resistor pack... if the motec can't cope with low impedence injectors.

You can change to top feeds also, there are a few top feed rails for 1jz's at reasonable prices also.

my 60's were about 2.4ish I was incredibly pissed off because when i got home i realised out of all my excitment to try my new intake i left my tyre pressure at 36psi haha. so i think i may have had some slightly quicker times.

There was still a Tnt on the speed time just backed onto it.

Well i still havnt got the twin set up off. biggest FuRk around. mercede's engine bay doesnt leave much room. Im just down to the manifold now so will be off tomoz....unless theres more messed up nuts.

Ahhh I wasn managing 2.2's with full street trim with some better rubber and come practice you should be able to knock a fair whack off that...

I'm guessing due to blown turbo and those times you were running a fair amount of boost??? I used to run 16 on my soarer without destroying them...

well i had enough of the turbo's today so took off the rockers and gave them a coat of black. im trying to decide what colour's to go with maybe black and blue because of the cooler pipes.

Today was a good days work.
Finally got the turbo's off, it appears that the rear wastegate was very easy to open and shut so maybe a collapsed spring?
I allready gave the turbo's away so im sure ill find out when my mate starts pulling them apart.

Had to cut some of the water lines out. So tomoz im welding up some new plugs and re routing them all to the shell of the car and around the manifold.

I had to take one stud out off the block to fit the manifold on as it was hitting on the pipes.
Also had to hacksaw the dump off as it had no chance of fitting.

    working up a sweat.

You can see the water feed line there just above the engine mount. it sits to close to the exhaust and dont want to risk heat issues.

Also i had trouble with the power steering lines. i managed to be able to just undo the connection and twist the joint around out of the way. (big hammer)
but ill have to install some heat shields to be on the safe side.

Just clears with the bonnet down........puts grinder back.

Picks grinder up again...time to go custom!..........
