Yeah that was me... The little black plastic clip that hold the metal wiper to the wiper arm had broken hence the arm was flopping around :P
Had worked fine since I had it...
LOL, seen your car on highway under underpass fixing wipers i think!?!?
The little things like this always escape you when spending so much time doing other more important modifications...until it starts raining!!
Looks good champ..

yeah the same thing happened to my e32 about a year ago, still havnt got around to fixing it, BMW wanted 260 for it
I just grabbed the pliers and made the 'loop' in the metal arm a little tighter.. seems to work...
this really has had me thinking recently.. I was considering buying a E36 323/325 to put an SR20DET into, but since reading more into this I might try and get a E28 5 series and drop in a 2J.
Did you have much of in issue with tunnel clearance for the gearbox?
Who did you get to do the wire up?

I did all the wiring.. it isn't too hard when you sit down and nut it out.
OK, i will start my hunt on trying to find schematics on the 2JZ..

and i noticed on toymods that you got your emanage running?? All sweet??
What info do you need??? I have pretty much all the info you'll need for an aristo 2jz... The supra 2jz is pretty much the same, but there are a couple of little things that are different...
I also have all the soarer 1jz wiring schematics...
I sorted the e-manage out after 4 days or cursing etc... turns out the guy before me had two wires around the wrong way in the loom. How this was done I don't know as I'm pretty certain the factory inserts the wiring into the ignition loom. The problem was the translated wiring diagram from trust for the ignitino shows Yellow/black on BOTH wires, and not yellow/black, yellow/white, for the in and out ignition like it should have.. so I ASSumed it was correct... It occured to me friday nigth that it was the ONLY thing I wasn't 100% certain on, then I changed them and fired perfectly...
Note:-
1jzgte, chaser - front sump
1jzgte soarer, supra - mid/rear sump
2jzgte aristo - front sump
2jzgte supra - mid/rear sump

thanks champ,
I will have to send you a PM and exchange phone numbers and perhaps catch up some time.. I just completed converting my Toyota cresta from 2L4T, 2.4 turbo diesel to a 1JZ from a JZX90!!! And I really could have used a man of your talents, let me tell you!!
But I managed to get everything working now, yes even the dual channel ABS and TRC... These things are beautiful little luxuries and well worth the "hours of cursing" needed to sort these types of things out!
Cheers,
Jason
Theres an e28 with an rb25det in it, i believe it needed trans tunnel mods to get the gearbox in (manual). It looks good! If i were to do it id go with the 2j tho![]()

I'll should be getting my Wideband AFR meter next week. Turned out the dyno session was a bit of a waste with me having to revert back to fairlystd setting in order to get the car to idle smoothly and both turbo's to work liek they should. Something to do with out mapping stuffed the sequential operation up, so I've ordered a WB02 to do my own tuning...
As a rough figure (we didn't bother printing any graphs) the car made roughly 300hp atw's on a smidge over 16psi... I'm hoping for around 320 atw's with a good tune and 18psi.
Thats goin to be QUICK!

I doubt it will be super quick, but zippy enough
I've also got hold of an E-manage Ultimate, which I'll be installing next week tooShould be able to set up autotune then

Finally got a reasonable inlet piping layout made. I needed some 3inch straight pipie to use with my bend so had my exhaust shop help me with it. I've put a 3inch K&N filter drawing from just behind the headlight now which should be giving me much cooler inlet temps as opposed to the ugly filter on alloy I had.
I'll pull my finger out and get some images when I get the car back from the panel shop. Went in to have rear end repairs today.
