    Talking 2JZGTE E32 Conversion

    Hi Guys,

Well waiting around for the E30 to be painted and returned has driven me insane, so I've decided I will put another 2jzgte into the E32.

At this point in time I'm unsure how much work will be invovled, but from first looks, it appears it should fit, but I'll be placing it further forward then the E30 to try and clear the brake master cyl etc, and get soem room for the exhaust to snake down past the steering box.

I will be keeping this engine fairly stock, running factory ECU and twin turbo's etc, and he factory automatic gearbox. I may fit a FMIC, but as I'm not able to measure space/clearance up yet I won't know what size, nor how easy this will be.

Plumbing for the cooling system appears fairly straight foward, with the BMW radiator having similar positions to the 2jz's. I may however retain the 'cuts' radiator, if that poses easier. I'm usnure whether I'll be using clutch of hydraulic fan just, but I might just put a 16inch thermo (there should e plenty of room).

The hydraulic braking and power steering circuit wll be retaind, but will be fed by the 2J's power steering pump, which should be adequate.

I'll be using the tranny cooler in the radiator, but connecting to the Toyo's box.

The selector I think will require some lever arm modification, but I should be able to interface with the factory BMW shifter, which in turn will hopefully retain the factory indication on the cluster etc. The M-E-S switch will be retained to engage sports mods, with another switch being added soemwhere neatly to engage the Toyo OD.

The Toyo A/C compressor will be connected via new lines to the BMW A/C circuit to retain A/C. Heater hoses are fairly straight foward and from memory are almost/close to the same diameter between the BMW and Toyo.

BMW tailshaft will be shortened slightly and a new Uni joint fitted to connect to the toyota Auto.

Exhaust will be 3inch mandrel bent, will be a 3inch CAT and a single muffler at the rear for starters. Provisino to fit a hotdog/resonator will be allowed though, as the car isn't meant to draw any attention.

I'm expecting the Aristo front cut to be delivered early next week, and will be back in Brisbane mid December I hope in order to commence work on it.

The M30/auto/loom and ECU will be coming out and will be sold off.

Should be an interesting christmas break, with the goal being to have it on the road mid/late Janruary.

You sir, are a crazy man, and i like it! Sounds like an interesting conversion, but cant wait to see the e30 finished all the same. Wat model m30 does the e32 have, the b34 or b35?

    2) your seriously bored as and need some other hobby?

I did some sums and with the money saved in fuel I think in less then 5-years the conversion will have paid for itself.

I was stunned to read the city travelling mileage written in the BMW manual was 17.9/100klm... *shudder*

The 0-100kph is rated at 9.1secs also.. :P

    Anyways... enough justifying to myself:P

I believe my engine is the B35... has 3.5 written on the manifold.

With two turbos. I really love the 2JZ engine. I have been lucky enough to drive an RZ supra and I nearly shat my pants when the turbos spooled up. There should be plently of room to play around with good luck with it. Remmember plently of pictures!
